Dreams of a Place We Have Lived

Dreams of a Place We Have Lived explores the human relationship with Nature through intimate landscape portraits depicting unpopulated scenes, and those inhabited by various solitary female characters. It gradually becomes clear that through their interactive postures, and their dress, the women are seeking communion with Nature.

Somewhere

Somewhere comprises images made over several years in cultural bookstores in Berlin, Paris, and New York. The book’s full-bleed immersive pictures unfold in a sequence that reveals the nature of the subject in a slow, meditative way via a journey from abstraction to realism and back again.

Liminal

Liminal is a catalogue of my photographic and video work produced over 8 years and exhibited in a national touring show by the same name.

The book contains work made between 1998 and 2005 during which I photographed in Toronto’s urban laneways. In this relatively hidden and overlooked area of the city, I used the camera to explore the relationship between public and private realms, drawing attention to visual perception and its relationship with camera vision. During this period, I also made a video and photographic series called Ambiguous Landscapes shot during various artist residencies in The Netherlands; Finland; and Banff, Alberta between 2003-05.
